Google: The search engine's CEO admits limits on personal data are elusiveThis article gives details of several cases whereby Google searchers were shocked to find unwanted and disquieting personal information about themselves on the Net. This ranged from information from a school reunion website to cases of wrongful arrest. Google acknowledges that it does not know how to make value judgments about information or when to remove dated material. It will also only remove material from search results under very limited circumstances. Warnings are given about taking care when creating online biographies and personal home pages as well as the need to be aware of the enormous reach of search engines.
