The nature of the Google economy
Why does it take so long to get good results in Google and why sometimes
can it be nigh on impossible to get a top 10 rating for a highly competitive
keyword.
In this article Joe Griffin suggests it is economically preferable for
Google to concentrate on spidering the more popular websites rather than
new sites. It is not just about the level of Page Rank (PR) you carry
or how big the PR is of the site that may link to you, but rather about
the credibility and actual PR of the sites, and having high volume of
links as well. Sites with higher PR values will get more attention in
the way of spidering.
Google will only recognize you when you become popular. Build a foundation
of true resource sites for reciprocation, and create strong alliances
in your corresponding industries for strategic partnerships to aid in
your link popularity.
