High street brands missing from search engines
Research into the retail market found that searches for clothes and accessories rarely took a user to the website of a high street brand.
Instead they were directed to pure-play or affiliate sites, meaning that bricks and mortar retailers are losing out on revenue from online searches, particularly since shoppers who visit a brand’s website before going to their store are more likely to make a purchase.
