BBC Web Search used a record amount in 2004 but some strange queries
The BBC's online search engine was used 277 million times in 2004 with
requests for information on a wide range of subjects. The most requested
search terms included games, East Enders, CBBC, John Peel, Harry Potter
and Olympics, as well as many strange enquiries, such as, what is a dog,
how do I fold a serviette like an elf’s boot and what is the biggest
collection of naval fluff?
