KODED SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING NEWS - March/April 2006
Dear readers, the schedule for the koded newsletter has changed and we're now publishing every 2 months.
Google's perpetual sprint to world domination has seen their over-bearing presence in all things newsworthy reach a new high, and with the other search engines still pondering over their strategies, it seems unjust to publish a monthly report solely on the activities the market leaders. By moving to a bi-monthly edition, the koded newsletter aims to give a more representative view of the search engine market as a whole, with the latest news and updates from all the players.
Google dominates the search engine market in the UK (like you didn't already
know!) Jeeves has walked out on Ask Jeeves, Google plans to launch an online marketplace in Europe and the overall cost per click (CPC) continues to rise. Google is also trying to back up your hard drive, the co-inventor of an early search engine Alta Vista has died and Microsoft has launched Windows Live Search. In the knowledgebase there is an article on the advantage of combining Paid and Organic Searches.
If you have any SEO questions, please let us know so that we can respond in future newsletters.
